Bessie Peirce Heller (1896 -1985) Is Best Know as a Painter, Mural Painter, Designer, Illustrator. She painted Murals in Los Angeles for the Federal Art Project in the 1930's, was a costume designer for MGM Studios and teacher at the Chouinard Art School. In 1939 Bessie Heller (assisted by Grace Measham) painted a mural "The Map Makers of the World" for Virgil Middle School In Los Angeles. The two panel encaustic fresco is located in the school library. The original sketches, drawings and artist proof are in this estate.
